What Classic Literature Online To Read | arts and entertainment

If you want to read classic literature online, you can use one of the major search engines - google, yahoo, or a similar engine. You can type the poem, book, or author you want to find, whether it be Robertson Davis, Gabriel Roy, Margaret Lawrence, Mazo de la Roche, or another Canadian classic author. If you are not looking for a specific book or author, you may browse the classics section of google books. Select full view to get the full text of your book of choice. If you are looking for a book in google, type the title, together with words such as 'transcript', 'full text', 'complete text', 'etext', and the like.

Once you have found your book, look at the format. In most cases, the electronic book will be divided into chapters, and you can go right to a relevant chapter or passage in the book. If you use the google books search engine, you can type a passage, sentence, or a particular term you are looking for. All pages that contain the relevant term will be displayed for your convenience.

Some websites publish free electronic books to their public. The files are typically ordered by author name. Near the title, you will find a sign which shows whether the file contains partial or full text. Reviews and summaries of the books are also offered. These are useful in deciding whether you want to read a particular book. With some websites, you will also find a book of the day, featuring different books every day.

Some free books websites, like the Classic Reader, feature sections that are intended for young readers and children. If you are a parent, you can spur your child's interest in classic books by reading them online. You will find books such as 'Doctor Dolittle', 'The Jungle Book', 'Adventures of Alice in Wonderland', and many others.

You can check whether it is possible to adjust the font and size of the text. You may be able to zoom the text so that it is comfortable for the eyes. If you prefer to read the book in a hard-copy format, you can print the book or a chapter/ page of the text. Use the print button or copy paste a selection in Microsoft Word. By pressing the print button in Microsoft Word, you will print the selected text.

Books are available in different formats, such as HTML, e-books, and text. Some books are offered in formats suitable for Kindle, Palm, iPhones, and other applications. You may be charged a fee for the service, but some websites offer free e-books.

Note that some classic readings are copyrighted, e.g. the Lord of the Rings. You should buy the book you are looking for. Downloading a copyrighted book illegally is not a wise idea. Apart from breaking the law, you risk downloading malware and viruses.
