I?ve been waiting for this truck to be put up for sale FOREVER. I know IAAI has to receive the title from the insurance company before the can put the truck up for sale but its been like 3 months. Trucks that are completely wrecked that are put up after this truck sell first, but this truck has no damage so i dont know why its taking forever. I know it takes insurance companys forever to do paperwork but 3 months!? if you know the average time for vehicles on IAAI or any other salvage auto auctions it would be great. There can be many reasons for the delay. If the payoff on the truck is more than the insurance settlement, the owner of the vehicle would have to come up with the difference before the lien holder would release the title.
There may be a lawsuit involved. There may be other issues with the vehicle, such as it having been stolen and the VIN altered, and there may be a delay in getting that straightened out. Without knowing the history of the vehicle, there is no way to be sure.
What happens is the insurance companies have the vehicles towed to IAAI (or another company) to avoid paying storage at tow companies. The insurance companies have a special deal, where the sale company does not charge them for storage. Sometimes the insurance company ends up selling the vehicle back to the owner, if it is a total loss. In that case, the car will never hit the auction block.
There is also the possibility that an employee at IAAI wants to buy the vehicle, and it may be slipped into a sale at the last minute, to try to keep the bidding down. Some locations of IAAI are worse about things like that than others.

While ROI (Return On Investment) is still an overall practical measure of benefits from any technology investment cost, the costs really should be correlated with different types of benefits that have dollar costs associated with them. Going to separate levels of benefits and related costs will make it easier to determine how applications can be used most cost effectively and how usage needs should be supported cost efficiently.
New analytics are becoming a key tool for tracking application activity that will enable better understanding about who uses what applications, when, and with what results. Analytics can also provide immediate feedback on how well the application is designed from a user interface perspective, as well as indications of workforce performance in using applications by internal staff for their different job responsibilities (?roles?).
Total Cost of Usage (TCU)

Wait for natural labor, researchers say
A University of Adelaide study has revealed that inducing labor in pregnant women when it's not medically necessary is more likely to result in complications at birth.
Elective induction is becoming more common around the world, with many women being induced for social and other non-medical reasons.
Dr Rosalie Grivell from the University of Adelaide's Robinson Institute has studied the data of more than 28,000 births from across South Australia, from 2006 to 2007.
She compared cases in which women had undergone spontaneous onset of labor, induction of labor for recognized medical reasons, and induction of labor for "non-recognized" reasons.
Compared with women who entered labor spontaneously, induction for non-recognized reasons was associated with a 67% increased chance of requiring a cesarean section.
It also significantly increased the chance of the newborn infant requiring nursery care in a Special Care Baby Unit (an increased risk of 64%) or requiring treatment (an increased risk of 44%) compared with infants born following spontaneous onset of labor.
"Our research is aimed at better understanding the optimal timing and management of labor and birth for women with an uncomplicated pregnancy," Dr Grivell said.
"We hope our findings will increase awareness of the potential harmful effects that elective induction can have on both women and their infants. In the absence of serious maternal or fetal problems or a medical recommendation, induction of labor is best avoided."
Dr Grivell said the lowest risk of adverse complications both for mother and baby occurred with the spontaneous onset of labor between 38 and 39 weeks.
"While a natural birth is not always possible for women who already have complications in pregnancy, the results of this study suggest that for women whose pregnancy is uncomplicated, awaiting the spontaneous onset of labor is best," Dr Grivell said.

In Recruitment Rip-Off, Tom Harrington exposed the aggressive and unethical sales practices of a Toronto-based company that first pretends to be a recruitment firm and then scams job seekers by taking thousands of dollars. The company?s representatives often target internet job seekers as well as new immigrants by expertly playing on their inexperience and desperation in the labour market.
Over the years, I?ve had numerous complaints about this shady company ? both from clients and well-reputed career practitioners. They currently go by the name Toronto Pathways, but over the years, they have gone by several other names to avert the many complaints that can be found on the Internet. This organization is under investigation by Canada?s Privacy Commissioner for its misleading practices.
Clearly, ethics and integrity are of primary importance to everyone ? job seekers, practitioners, and recruiters alike. I personally know and value the services of many outstanding professionals. It?s unfortunate that one ?bad egg? can hurt job seekers and taint the industry as a whole.

Career Professionals of Canada credentials practitioners in the areas of resume writing, interview coaching, and career consulting. Before retaining any firm, refer to Career Professionals of Canada?s professional directory to ensure that the consultants are certified.
The company seems too good to be true. There are many outstanding service providers across Canada. Do your homework to find them. Before retaining anyone check the Better Business Bureau and the RipOff Report. Google the company name for complaints too.
When it comes to career services, Canada is a leader in the world. Job seekers who qualify for unemployment insurance can find many fundamental resources free at government-sponsored career centres and service providers. Other government programs are available for new Canadians, youth, and other under-employed groups. If you do not qualify for these services, you can find many ethical service providers including certified career practitioners and resume writers.
The MarketPlace piece has hit a nerve within our industry. Respectable recruiters are uncomfortable being labelled alongside a company that pretends to be a headhunter, but is really a scammer. Principled career practitioners feel that they have not been properly represented in the piece. And, through it all, job seekers feel slighted and exploited by corrupt organizations.
